My work often deals with themes of disparity in social justice and the human condition... and how I reconcile those with my own desire to be better, more human and more compassionate.  I painted Hard Hit on a movie screen because I wanted it to be a presentation... a two dimensional piece that occupies space volumetrically, like a statue, suggesting the illusion of additional content.

This was originally an abstract expressionistic piece done by a friend, Peter Hayes, who passed away a few years ago. The oil painting I did on top of Peter’s abstract, is of the first ever 3D film, called The Power of Love. This piece is literally over 10 feet long.
